The ASU Scholarship 2026, offered in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation scholarship program, is a prestigious, fully funded graduate opportunity designed for talented African students. For the 2026/2027 academic year, Arizona State University (ASU) and the Mastercard Foundation will award 30 fully funded scholarships to eligible African students who want to pursue master’s degrees in the United States. This opportunity forms part of a five-year plan (2025–2030) aimed at training 120 young African professionals in technology-focused graduate programs.

This is a traditional 2-year, on-campus master’s program in Phoenix, Arizona, offering not only full financial support but also leadership training, mentorship, internships, and global networking opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the ASU Scholarship 2026under the Mastercard Foundation scholarship program, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of an African country.
  • Be committed to ethical leadership and community engagement.
  • Be between 18 and 33 years old by the application deadline.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence and leadership experience.
  • Hold an undergraduate degree by August 2026.
  • Not have started or completed any other graduate program before August 2026.
  • Be eligible for admission to their chosen degree, including meeting English proficiency requirements.
  • Be able to reside in Phoenix, Arizona for the full duration of the program.
